Iceland is special. This country changes and inspires you. People who have been there want to come back. So do I. I want to visit Iceland at least two times more. Because I want to drive on their F-roads and to see the northern lights. I have the feeling as though you reveal some secret, and only those people who were there understand you. Endless and Inspiring places Iceland is spacious and gorgeous. The clouds are often low and sometimes you may have a feeling that you can catch them. You can walk or drive all day long. There is no place for boredom. Legends of Vikings Icelandic folklore is very rich and full of stories of trolls, elves, fairies and dwarves. Legends told us how they were living between rocks, or turned forever to stone. Magical and Mysterious cities Icelandic cities are small, because 2/3 of population live in Reykjavik. Every city is more than a group of low buildings. They have captivating color and charm. You will keep them in mind. The Icelandic Horses The horses are small almost like pony-sized but so cute and friendly. They are always happy to see the tourists. Staggering amount of waterfalls No matter where you are driving, you will see a waterfall. Big or small, high or low, but all are beautiful and unique. My favorite is Svartifoss. The waterfall in Skaftafell in Vatnajökull National Park. One of the most popular places in the park. It is surrounded by dark lava columns, which gave rise to its name. Breathtaking views Iceland has magnificent landscape. From glaciers and mountains to fjords and waterfalls. When we were driving around, astonishing landscapes were changing every hour. Sometimes we even had the feeling that we are on the other planet like Venus or Mars. It was so incredible and diverse. Hot pots and hot shower in the middle of nowhere Iceland is also famous for her hot spots. You can find probably the whole list here. But it was surprising to find a shower in the middle of nowhere. The country full of sheeps They are everywhere. On the hills and plains, and even on the road. They can walk or just cross it, so you should be very careful while driving. And remember that you are a guest here, not they. If you are thinking of taking your own trip to Iceland then take a look on the other post about Iceland, probably you will find some useful info. Keep in touch.
